Community Involvement

Investment in our community is one of RTP Federal Credit Union's core values. Throughout the year, we are involved in a number of local community and charitable events.

Our efforts include support of the following charitable organizations and events:

• The Make a Wish Foundation® of Eastern North Carolina - Grants wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. Every fulfilled wish represents a unique collaboration between wish families, medical professionals, volunteers and donors.
• The Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina - Provides food to people at risk of hunger through partner agencies including soup kitchens, food pantries, shelters, and after school programs for children.
• Toys for Tots - The mission of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during the holiday season and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community.
• St. Baldrick's Day - Raises awareness and funds to cure kids' cancer by supporting cancer research and fellowships. St. Baldrick's has become the world's biggest volunteer-driven fundraising program for childhood cancer.
• Holiday Cheer Angel Tree benefiting Wake County Human Services - Grants the wishes of local children at the holidays. Angel Trees are an annual tradition in RTP Federal Credit Union's branches, and our members generously help make these wishes come true.
• The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society - Strives to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. It is the world's largest voluntary health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research, education and patient services.
• Run 4 Wishes - Annual 5k road race which benefits the Make a Wish® Foundation of Eastern North Carolina. RTP Federal Credit Union is a primary race sponsor.
• SPCA of Wake County - Dedicated to creating a more humane community where every adoptable animal has a home. Each year the SPCA rehomes over 3,000 animals through its innovative adoption programs and lost and found efforts.
