RTP Federal Credit Union was founded in 1968 by a group of federal employees in the Research Triangle Park, seeking to bring the benefits of credit union membership to this area. Today, over 300 businesses and associations in the RTP and greater Triangle area are offering the benefits of RTP Federal Credit Union membership. We've grown to more than 13,000 members with 4 full service branch locations and $100 million in assets.

RTP Federal Credit Union is a not-for-profit financial cooperative governed by a member-elected board of directors. Profits are returned to members in the form of competitive dividend rates, lower loan rates and low or no service fees. Through sound management, innovative benefits and respect for our members, we have not lost sight of the reason for our existence — service to our members.
